The art of Yoji Muku (1928-2001) stands out from other illustrators and mangaka.
Working from photographs (mainly images by Nureki Chimuo), Yoji Muku’s style focuses on a high degree of realism. The result is very disturbing and fascinating.
Original artworks are almost impossible to find. And his two series of comics produced in the 1970s for Satan Comics and Joy Comics have become real collector’s items.
