Mineko Tsuzuki is the pen name of Shizuo Yagi, a prominent yet enigmatic figure in Japan’s post-war SM art scene. He contributed to influential publications such as Kitan Club, Fuzoku Soshi, and Uramado—all pivotal in shaping Japan’s underground BDSM culture during the mid-20th century.
A close friend of renowned illustrator Toshiyuki Suma, Tsuzuki’s life and work remain largely mysterious, adding to the allure of his art.

Original illustrations by Tsuzuki are still under the radar — but already nearly impossible to find.
