Fuzoku Sōshi was a pioneering Japanese SM magazine published between 1953 and 1954. Though short-lived (17 issues), it made a lasting impact with its bold blend of stories, essays, and illustrations exploring bondage and unconventional sexualities. It featured major SM artists like Reiko Kita, Seiu Ito, Hideo Furusho, and Tamaki Kitahara .
A key part of Fuzoku Sōshi‘s enduring legacy lies in its unforgettable cover art — all illustrated by the brilliant Ran Akiyoshi.
